The northernmost tip of norway is located on an island, so we had to take a boat to get there. We were a bit concerned about the weather, it was very clouded and we really wanted to see the midnight sun.

It does not really show in this picture but the houses in honningsvåg have real bright colors

On our way to Kirkeporten ("the northernmost camping in the world") we came through a very dark and narrow tunnel. According to Karen We drove over one of the poles by the side of the road but I never noticed. It also didn't show on the sidecar

We arrived at the camping late in the afternoon, so there was time to put up the tent and make dinner before we went to the north cape itself

Once we got there it appeared we were very lucky with the weather: later on we heard that it was the only clear night in over two weeks.

Not only was it very beautifull around midnight, it was also very busy with people. A whole boatfull had arrived from Scotland.

The moist air from the sea that was blown up to the cape condensed into newformed clouds, wonderfully lighted by the midnight sun

After most people had gone, all the bikes drove out to the monument to take the picture that proves we were there. It is a bit dark but in the middle of the right picture the Dnepr can be seen next to the monument

We did not have much time to take this picture, since we were driven off by an official as soon as they noticed what was going on.
